Thank you for visiting the VE3OZ home page. I hold a Canadian Certificate of Proficiency in Amateur Radio with “Advanced” and “Morse Code” endorsements and also still maintain my original call of VE3TVJ. I have operated as VE3OZ since November, 2001 when it was handed down to me by the person who helped cultivate my interest in Amateur Radio in the early 1970’s, John Bartlett, now HK3OZ.

I can usually be found on 80 and 40 meters during the weekends, hanging out on 17 or chasing a little bit of DX on 20. I am working on getting my “fist” back and have been plodding my way around the “novice” portion of 40 and 15 as well. I also operate a bit of PSK31 on 80 meters most weekends.

I operate usually at under 100 watts and normally at QRP level, just for fun!

My station is located 7.5 km west of Orangeville, Ontario in the historic “ghost town” of The Maples, within the township of East Garafraxa. My tower resides at 1500’ ASL in Grid Square EN93wv.
